VakıfBank became the best team in the ‘Old Continent’ for the 5th time by which they wrote the Women’s Champions League history as the most successful side. Giovanni Guidetti, the head coach of the Istanbul-based team, said after the match: “I’m happy to have such a team. My team put up a tremendous fight. As a result, we reached the title. VakıfBank would definitely not exist without these working people you see.”
When asked about the fact that VakıfBank became the Champions League record holder with the most trophies, the Italian expert commented: “I don’t think about the records. I think about our team. We were behind 9-3, if there was another team, they would’ve expected a tie-break. But, I have a team that never gives up and has resilience.”
