Serbian Women’s Volleyball Team Dominates Sweden, Advances to European Championship Quarterfinals

In a stunning performance at the European Championship, the Serbian women’s volleyball team clinched a spot in the quarterfinals by defeating Sweden in straight sets. The Round of 16 match, played in Brussels, concluded with scores of 25-17, 25-13, 25-16 in favor of Serbia.

Prior to the match, there were concerns surrounding the injury status and readiness of Serbian star opposite Tijana Bošković. However, not only did Bošković play, but she also led the Serbian team to an easy and convincing victory. At no point did Sweden manage to cross the 20-point threshold in any of the sets.

Tijana Bošković was undoubtedly the standout player of the game, scoring an impressive 24 points for Serbia. On the Swedish side, Isabelle Haak was the most effective, contributing 14 points to her team’s efforts.

Serbia now looks forward to the quarterfinals where they will face the winner of the match between Czechia and Ukraine.
