In away match, Targoviste defeated the Greek champions after five sets although they could finish match much earlier. They led 2-0 when Olympiacos equalized on 2-2.
The fifth set was full of ups and downs and after play “point by point” the Romanian side celebrated a victory.
Milagros Catalina Collar scored 18 points while Romela Trica 16 and Erin Fairs 15 points for the winning team while Saskia Hippe scored 25 points and Stephanie Niemer 20 points for Olympiacos.
