The Italian runners-up Diatec Trentino outplayed French titleholders Chaumont VB 52 Haute Marne in straight sets in the Playoffs 12 rematch, but by winning each set with two points difference, partially 26-24, 25-23, 27-25. This result, in addition to claiming two sets in the 1st leg, pushed Trentino to the Playoffs 6.

Trentino coach Angelo Lorenzetti decided to leave Luca Vettori out of the lineup due to his questionable level of playing at the moment and put Estonian Renee Teppan in. Also, Filippo Lanza took the place of Serbian Uroš Kovačević on the court from the second set.

As for Chaumont, their best scorer Stéphen Boyer was unable to play due to his muscle problems, just like in the 1st leg.

Teppan scored 13 points for Trentino. Boyer’s replacement Wassim Ben Tara was the best scorer in Chaumont. The Tunisian opposite made 13 points as well.
