Gabriel Cherbeleaţă topped Steaua with 23 points (3 aces). Andrei Grigoraș and Silviu Suson collected 16 points apiece for the losing side.
Steaua’s nearest followers LMV Tricolorul Ploiești were also successful in this round as they swept CSU UVT Timișoara by a 3-0 with 10 players making it to the scoresheet but neither with double digits!
