FIN M: VaLePa continue domination over Hurrikaani by prevailing in Game 1 of playoff finals

VaLePa Sastamala prevailed in the opening game of the Finnish men’s volleyball championship Mestaruusliiga 2017/2018 playoff finals against Hurrikaani-Loimaa.

The top-seed VaLePa continued their domination over No.4 Hurrikaani in the Mestaruusliiga 2017/2018 by beating them in Game 1 of the playoff finals, 3-0 (25-21, 25-21, 25-16). Counting today’s win, VaLePa have a 5-0 record against Hurrikaani in the season.

Olli Kunnari was the best scorer for the defending champs with 19 points. Markus Kaurto served 4 aces. Antti Ropponen topped Hurrikaani with 15 points.

The playoff finals are played in the best-of-seven format with Game 2 taking place on April 12.
