Thus, Germany jumped to the 10th place in the Preliminary Round standings with a 5-6 record (14 points) and reduced the distance compared to the sixth place, which is currently eligible for qualification for the Final Six, to 6 points. As for Belgium, they are at 6-5 and 16 points.
Hanna Orthmann was Germany’s top scored with 24 points, including 4 aces. Karolina Goliat scored 13 for the “Yellow Tigers”, while Marlies Janssens made 4 kill blocks.
The Netherlands wrote down the 11th successive victory against the Dominican Republic at major world level tournaments, beating them in straight sets in Pool 14.
