One out of two teams have scored all victories in Volleyball Nations League.
After being in a difficult situation at the start of the fourth set, the Turkish girls managed to win the game after making a turnaround, winning the last two sets to defeat against Canada.
“It was a very difficult game for us. We struggled a lot in every element of the game, but we didn’t give up. In the fourth set we really did something, I think, magnificent – we were losing 23-17, but we managed to win this set. I’m really proud of my teammates because this game was very important for us in terms of standings and ahead of the next matches,” says Cansu Ozbay (Turkey).
Poland swept Korea in straight sets, after coming from behind in the third set, for their second win in four matches at the 2021 FIVB Women’s Volleyball Nations League.
“We played very well, but we had to be focused all the time on the game. Our defense was crucial in this match. The most important thing is that we won 3-0 – especially as Korea are a strong and fighting team, even without their leader. The third set showed that we have a driving force and even in difficult moments we don’t give up and we know how to overcome it and get up. I don’t follow individual rankings, but my performance today could be better, as I didn’t serve any aces.”
Malwina Smarzek (18 points) and Magdelana Stysiak (17) points we the top scorer in Poland.
