The stage is set for an exciting moment in volleyball as the 32 participating teams in the 2025 FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship will discover their pool phase opponents on Saturday, September 14. The drawing ceremony will take place at the Solaire Hotel in Manila, Philippines, and will be streamed live on VBTV and Volleyball World’s YouTube channel. The draw will kick off at 20:30 local time (12:30 UTC).
The teams competing in the championship include Algeria, Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Cuba, Czechia, Egypt, Finland, France, Germany, Iran, Italy, Japan, Korea, Libya, the Netherlands, the Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Tunisia, Türkiye, Ukraine, and the United States. The draw will divide them into eight pools of four, each competing in a single round-robin format. Hosts Philippines are pre-seeded in Pool A, while the other top seven teams will be placed at the head of the remaining pools based on their rankings. The next 24 teams, based on their world ranking, will be drawn into positions 2, 3, and 4 within each pool.
The championship will unfold over 17 intense days, with the top two teams from each pool advancing to the Round of 16, while the rest are eliminated. From there, the competition will move on to the Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals, and the climactic medal matches.
