The hosts struggled early, with unforced errors allowing Argentina to take control and build a 2-0 lead. However, Brazil responded strongly in the third set, improving blocking and serving while receiving important contributions from players off the bench.

Henrique Honorato scored 13 points, while Judson Nunes once again led Brazil’s offense with 15 points.

Argentina remained competitive throughout the match and appeared on course for victory in the fourth set before Brazil mounted a late rally to force a tiebreak. The home side then dominated the deciding set.

Brazil completed the opening stage with four wins from four matches, while Argentina finished the week without a victory.
