Serbia Sweep Dominican Republic to End VNL Losing Streak

Serbia snapped a five-match losing streak in the Volleyball Nations League with 3-0 victory over the Dominican Republic. The Serbians secured the win in straight sets, 25-19, 25-23, 25-18.

Anja Zubic led Serbia with a match-high 16 points, while Nina Cajic added 13 and Branka Tica contributed nine. Kurtagic and Aleksic each finished with six points.

For the Dominicans two middle blockers were the top scorers, Geraldine Sthefany Gonzalez led the scoring with 11 points, while Jineiry Martinez added 10. The Caribbean side remains the only winless team in the tournament.

The victory improved Serbia’s record to 2-5, while the Dominican Republic dropped to 0-6.
