Canada were on a good path to resolve the Pool I1 match in maximum three sets after claiming first two by a 25-23 and 25-13, but hosts Belgium, powered up by the crowd in Antwerp, leveled as they got other two 26-24 and 25-22.
Eventually, Canadians had more strength in reserve to outclass rivals in the tie-break 15-10 and settle at the position number 4 in the rankings with big odds to go to the F6 in Brazil.
Stephen Maar topped Canada with 24 points while Gert van Walle made 20 on the other side.
