VNL F6 W: Who will win the first Volleyball Nations League?

Tomorrow on Jun 27 the final battles for the gold medal at the first ever Volleyball Nations League for women will start in Nanjing, China.

Six teams have been qualified to this stage of the competition and they are divided into two groups of three teams.

Pool A: ChinaBrazilNetherlands.

Pool B: USASerbia, Turkey.

 

* The top two teams of each pool advance to crosswise semifinals on June 30, followed by the bronze medal match and final on July 1.

POOL A

The first match in Pool A in Nanjing will play the hosts China and the Netherlands. The Dutch girls won their last match against China with 3-1 in VNL but before that, a team of coach Lang Ping won the most important matches against their opponents – the semifinal of Olympic Games in Rio and last year in the final group in Grand Prix.

On the first day, Brazil from their pool will be free. And their match is scheduled for Jun 28 against the Netherlands.

POOL B
In Pool B, the leaders of the regular stage, USA will open competition against Turkey. In their last match, the team of coach Giovanni Guidetti won with 3-2 but in the five matches before the VNL, USA celebrated all wins. In the last six years, the teams faced each other nine times officially and only 2 matches Turkey won, both with 3-2.

Serbia, who are also in this pool, are free on the first day. Their first match will be on Jun 28 against Turkey.
