Schwerin-vs-Stuttgart
The national Cup winners SSC Palmberg Schwerin conquered the Super Cup (the official name this year: Comdirect Supercup) by beating champions Allianz MTV Stuttgart with a 3-1 (25-22, 31-33, 25-19, 25-18). Thus, Schwerin made a hat-trick of titles in the competition that is held for four years. Exactly Stuttgart was the only team to lift the trophy apart from Schweriner.
Just like Men’s Super Cup, the Women’s was also held on the LED floor at the TUI Arena in Hannover. No competitive match in any of the Olympic sports was held on an interactive surface prior to these two in the German Super Cup. The American outside hitter from Schweriner, McKenzie Adams, was named MVP of the match.
