Zaytzev was simply terrific, finally. 🙂
Lube again wins the serve /passing battle, which they live by in this matchup.
Trentino looks fragile and unsure. Russell is not swinging with confidence, Kovacevic passing is off and serve is not there. Gianelli’s location missed numerous times
Why is Vetorri EVER pulled for a significant less player in Nelli? That the Trentino coach cannot do again. All this and yet Trentino still could have won match 1 and pushed last night to 5.
Trentino will correct their mistakes and gain momentum on Monday at home and push this series to a 5th match. Lube will tire.

I don’t think so. I believe it will be 3-2 or 3-1 Civitanova in the last game against Trentino. As I said before, Trentino doesn’t have a good attack, very good at defense and reception, but the attack is concentrated on Kovacevic too much. lube on the other hand, have 3 attackers that are very strong. Russell after the mundial of clubs didn’t to a great Italian league, and gianelli when the team lacks a good reception commit too many mistakes like two touches and low balls. Let’s see how will go, but as I said earlier, Trentino doesn’t have a strong attack to beat Civitanova

Re: @M. Agree. Trentino can win only if Russell starts playing on his level. Otherwise Leal, Juantorena and Sokolov are too much
If Lube’s service is good and move reception to 3 meters line, that eliminates Trentino middles. Kovacevic is not enough, Vetori is not capable of producing 20+ points like top opposites.

1st set of Trentino was amazing, they blew off Lube. Block isnt good. For Perugia-Modena, Perugia will advance.

If I were Trentino I would serve every ball at Yolanda Leal. He is a terrible passer and it will force Lube to pull him off the floor.
The strength of Trentino has been a balanced atteck all year so the ‘just Kovacevic argument’ fails.
I feel if this goes to the 5th match Trentino is favored being at home and Lube doesnt do well in final games. Anyway it will be fun yo watch.
Perugia needs to be very very careful with Modena.

‘If I were Trentino I would serve every ball at Yolanda Leal. He is a terrible passer’. Not only Leal, ALL the reception of lube is terrible. just close your eyes and serve that will be an ace or will be B or C pass. Balaso for me is the real problem, because both Leal and juantorena arent reception especialists, they have a strong attack but they lack in reception. Because of that, you NEED to have a good reception from your libero and balaso simply has one of the worses receptions on libero that i saw. a libero having so many C passes from easy serves or committing mistakes on reception destroy a team, imagine a team that already has a very bad reception like juantorena and leal
