After spending a season in China and winning the title, also playing for Milano a few matches, Klemen Cebulj has decided to accept Trentino’s offer and to sign a contract for 2019/2019 season.

New challenge accepted very happy to join Trentino Volley and be part of this amazing team,“ writes Klemen Cebulj on Instagram.

Recall that Trentino ended the season in the playoff semifinals, losing the series against Lube Civitanova.

We will see who is leaving Trentino, since the Rusell-Kovacevic duo led Trentino in the season 2018/2019.

This is a smart move. As Russell and Kovacevic’s backup he can learn and grow and he can hammer the ball. Van Garderen was so shaky at the end of the season that the team had to go to there 4th OH instead. Cebulj has some promising years ahead of him and he can replace Russell and/or Kovacevic in 2 years. I suspect Trentino will have a tough time keeping both of those guys as they have become BIGTIME players. This is a nice addition to a young team

Not sure why he decided to come to Trentino to sit on the bench because he can’t play while Kovacevic and Russell are there. He could’ve stayed in Milan and be in starting lineup.
