A 27-year-old Swan Ngapeth came to Tonno Callipo Calabria Vibo Valentia from Top Volley Latina, another Italian Championship side.
The French outside hitter is a part of a volleyball family: he is the son of a former player and head coach Eric Ngapeth and brother of Earvin Ngapeth, one of the best players in the world who currently plays in Zenit Kazan, Russia.
Vibo signed several more players in the summer transfer window earlier: Brazilian opposite hitter Aboubacar Neto “Abouba” (EMS Taubaté Funvic, Brazil), American outside hitter Torey DeFalco (Long Beach State 49ers, NCAA), French outside hitter Timothée Carle (Ajaccio, France), French middle blocker Barthélémy Chinenyeze (Tours, France), and libero Marco Rizzo (Vero Volley Monza).
The club extended with the setter Sebastiano Marsili, and middle blockers Marco Vitelli and Stefano Mengozzi.
