The experienced player comes to Piacenza, strong in attack and serve. A player who has also gained experience over the years outside of Italian borders – in France, Russia and Turkey.

Born in Moscow in 1988,  son of Jaroslav Antonov, opposite of the Russian national team and silver medalist at the Seoul Olympics, the new player of Gas Sales Piacenza took his first steps in volleyball in Italy, following his father in Trentino. Antonov joined Sisley Treviso youth sector in 2006, making his Serie A1 debut at just seventeen. After a brief experience at A2, Antonov spent a two-year period at Cuneo. In 2014, he moved to France and became a member of Tours. The next step was Vibo Valentia until January 2018 when he went to Turkey, to Ziraat Bankasi Ankara. He has spent the last two seasons in Russia and Turkey. (Ural Ufa and Galatasaray)
