Now it’s official: Stefano Lavarini will be sitting on the bench of the reigning European women’s volleyball club champions, Italy’s Igor Gorgonzola Novara, next season.

Lavarini has officially returned to command the club in which he practically started his coaching career – Novara (1999 – 2003). A 41-year-old Italian expert has signed a two-year contract with the reigning CEV Champions League winner, replacing Massimo Barbolini (went to Savino Del Bene Scandicci).

Lavarini spent the last season at the bench of Novara’s national league rivals Unet E-Work Busto Arsizio with whom he finished second in the incomplete Serie A regular season.
