Città di Castello played a good first set, began well the second and had a good third too against Piacenza as it only faded in the final stages. The team knows it is competitive, they proved it again, especially in that exemplary first set won 25-16 but there is the disappointment not to have gained anything out of the encounter.
“We feel like we have played a good game on a prestigious stage like the Piacenza arena – analysed coach Radici – Useless to hide that we dreamt of taking a little something more out of this good performance. We had a spectacular first set, with great digs and a team play of the highest level, but we did not manage to maintain this level in the rest of the game, while Piacenza immediately took advantage of Zlatanov’s run of serve. Piacenza had to work extremely hard to turn things around and that tells you how well we played”.
