The top scorer of the last Korean Men’s Volleyball Championship and record-holder for scored points in the final matches of the competition, Noumory Keita, strengthened Verona Volley.
Pure power – that’s the best way to describe the latest reinforcement of Italy’s Verona. The SuperLega side announced that it has reached an agreement with Noumory Keita. The young Malian outside hitter took a detour to the big volleyball scene (club-wise) – from Serbia through Korea to Italy. In the second-mentioned country, the 20-year-old prodigy spent the last 2 seasons, wearing the jersey of the Uijeongbu KB Insurance Stars. In the last V-League finals, Keita made history for having grounded the most points ever in the championship match in this Asian country: 57.
Only last season, Keita (V-League’s top scorer in 2021/22 with 1,285 points) managed to put himself 5 times in the list of the world’s Top 10 all-time single-game scorers. Keita has signed an agreement with Verona until 2024.
