The titleholders of the Italian Women’s Volleyball Championship, Prosecco DOC Imoco Volley Conegliano, have signed for next season the Canadian outside hitter Alexa Gray.
Gray, the 27-year-old Albertan and the Canada National Team member since 2017, will spend her sixth successive season in Italy. A player with great attacking potential is the new member of the best club in Serie A1, Imoco. The Conegliano side will be the sixth Italian club for the Best Outside Spiker of the 2019 NORCECA Championship. She spent a year in each of the previous five teams.
Last season, while wearing the jersey of Unet E-Work Busto Arsizio, Gray was ranked seventh among the scorers in a Serie A1 with 453 points.
