Velichkov Signs with Vero Volley Monza for 2025/2026 Season
Eighteen-year-old Bulgarian volleyball standout Zhasmin Velichkov has joined MINT Vero Volley Monza for the 2025/2026 season, completing the team’s roster for Italy’s Serie A1.
A 203 cm outside hitter, Velichkov has shown exceptional promise with Beroe 2016 Stara Zagora. His club career includes bronze in the Bulgarian Cup (2023) and Superleague (2024/2025), along with silver in the 2024 BVA Cup.
Internationally, Velichkov has been a standout for Bulgaria, claiming gold in the Balkan U17 and U21 Championships, and silver in the European U17 and U21 tournaments. He was also named Best Opposite at the 2023 Balkan U17 Championship.
“This is a big step for me,” Velichkov said. “I’m excited to join Monza, meet the team, and give my best for the club and fans.”
