Celebration is in the air at Numia Vero Volley Milano as the club reunited with its World Champion athletes. Paola Egonu, Anna Danesi, Eleonora Fersino, and Benedetta Sartori returned home after Italy’s golden success on the global stage.
The four champions, led by new team captain Anna Danesi, joined their teammates at the Opiquad Arena in Monza, where fans and staff offered a warm reception. French libero Juliette Gelin, fresh off her own World Championship campaign, also rejoined the squad.
Danesi shared her enthusiasm: “Winning the World Championship was a dream finish to the summer. Now we’re charged up for a challenging but exciting season with Milano.”
The first test for the full roster comes at the Courmayeur Cup (September 26-27), before the Serie A1 season opener at the Opiquad Arena on October 6 against Bergamo.
