Rana Verona shocked Sir Susa Scai Perugia in the 5th round of the SuperLega Credem Banca, stealing a 3-2 victory and delivering Perugia their first loss of the season. In a tight, back-and-forth match, Verona stayed composed, led by Darlan’s 24 points and Keita’s 21. Perugia fought hard with Ben Tara (23) and Semeniuk (12), but couldn’t close the decisive fifth set.
Trentino continued its perfect run, beating Vero Volley Monza 3-0 with all its main hitters in double digits. Monza’s Padar scored 16, but it wasn’t enough to challenge the league leaders.
Piacenza claimed a strong home win, defeating Lube Civitanova 3-0. MVP Bovolenta led the way with 21 points, while Civitanova struggled to keep pace despite Loeppky reaching 11 points.
At the bottom of the standings, Grottazzolina fell 0-3 at home to Cuneo. Golzadeh scored 17 for the hosts, but Cuneo stayed solid with Feral (16), Codarin (10), and Sedlacek (10) guiding the team.
One of the wildest matches of the day came from Cisterna, which edged Modena 3-2. After falling behind 1-2, Cisterna forced a dramatic 37-35 win in the fourth—one of the highest-scoring sets in league history—before taking the tie-break 15-11. Lanza and Ikhbayri both finished with 24 points.
