The PalaBanca will open its doors to the 2015 CEV DenizBank Volleyball Champions League on November 5 as Copra Ardelia play Tomis CONSTANTA of Romania. Other home matches will then follow on December 4 and January 20 with #Dragons LUGANO and Knack ROESELARE, respectively.

Hristo Zlatanov, the charismatic team captain of PIACENZA, stated:

“We were quite lucky with the draw but we shall now be able to exploit this advantage on the court. There are some negative points we have to deal with: we still haven’t reached our best form and after one round which looks easy, we will have another match which is much more difficult. As for the first home match with Tomis, the pressure will be entirely on us. They have two guys whom we know really well, Andrey Zhekov and Ventceslav Simeonov, who played here in the past, and they certainly want to leave their mark before an audience they know so well. We do not underestimate anyone; as for the problems we are having in the national league, we have to look at ourselves first and not find any excuses. We have to work hard to develop the right chemistry within the team.”
