“I’m surprised by how it went. I didn’t expect 3-0 I expected 3-2 for sure. But we kept believing in ourselves even when we were six points behind, we made it. I’m still a little bit surprised. I think we served pretty well, I must say it wasn’t our best volleyball because in practice we were even better. Some things were a little bit mess. There was a big pressure on both teams. Also I know that we have to prepare for tomorrow’s game” says Sloetjes for WorldofVolley.
Her teammate Milena Rašić was also surprised by the „easy” win over Fenerbahce.
“I’m really happy that we managed to play this game on high level since the beginning to the end of the game. Honestly, I expected more than three sets against Fenerbahce, but thanks God, it didn’t happen. It’s much better this way. We have short time for celebration and we have to prepare for tomorrow’s final match. In the second set, we managed to make comeback after trailing by six and I have to say that it shows the strength of this team” says Rašić for WorldofVolley.
Recall that Vakifbank beat Fenerbahce in three sets to advance to the final of the CEV Champions league.
