ITA M: Great battle at PalaEvangelisti, Modena close to win the crown!

Modena have completed a very good job in the second match of the Serie A1 playoff finals!

Home team opened match by taking the first set 25-21, but in the second set we saw an answer of Lorenzetti’s side! They fought back and after an amazing battle Modena managed to tie the score in sets 27-25!

In another two sets we saw amazing effort from both sides. Perugia have managed to take the lead in sets but on the other side Modena answered to level the score 2-2. 

Both team entered tie break with great desire to win it and to finish the game successfuly! But, Modena managed to control the fifth set and after Vettori’s point to win the game 3-2!

Modena are now one win away from the championship title.

Luca Vettori was the top scorer with 22 points, while Earvin Ngapeth had 20 points. The Brazilian middle blocker Lucas Saatkamp contributed with 16 points.

In home team, Aleksandar Atanasijevic ended match with 20 points. The American player Aaron Russell had 17 points.
