American receiver Brian Cook came from Serie A1 rivals Tonazzo Padova.
French Swan Ngapeth came from the club from his country Saems Tourcoing Volley-Ball Lille Métropole. He is playing at the same position as Cook and is a brother of a France NT superstar Earvin Ngapeth, who still has not extended the contract with Modena.
As for Jacopo Massari, he is also receiver, who came from French title holders Paris Volley.
Middle blocker Matteo Piano will spend his third season in a row in Modena and has just returned from the 2016 FIVB World League Final Six where he was engaged with Italy National Team.
