The experienced 43-year old player has recorded 800 appearances in the Italian league and Italian Cup. During the game against Ravenna he got the MVP award and a jersey with number 800!
“It was a special day. To get an award for receiving is always nice but I prefer more to attack. I have special feelings for the position of libero. You just receive the ball and the rest of the action does not depends on you,” says Papi.
He is now playing 27th season in his career. He has scored 8,508 points so far and won many important trophies at the clubs level as well as with the national team.
