When a volleyball player leaves some team during the season, like Valerio Vermiglio did after only two and a half months in UPC San Juan, it’s quite clear that he/she did it under strange conditions.

A 40-year-old setter and two-time European champion with Italian Men’s Volleyball National Team departed from UPCN recently and signed with Division 2 team in his homeland. But, according to Vermiglio, parting with Argentinian title holders was tough for him…

„Nothing in life happens by accident… you find yourself halfway around the world to experience (which „could“ have been the last experience) beautiful, stimulating and exciting aspects and people with a „clean“ heart in its place… but, as always, life puts you ahead of „cruel reality“! Now… it is over… it is goodbye, dear gentlemen who were not able to be normal people, educated, positive and also AMBICIOUS! They have lost their EGO… have ENVIED and had PRIDE… without allowing me to express myself in any way! I am proud to say that, for the first time in my life, I was able to behave correctly from beginning to the end without stumbling and/or provoking anyone. I swear on my mother, my wife, Don Pablo Figueroa and the Lord our God, I have always tried to teach and prove…!“ Vermiglio wrote on Facebook.
