ASPTT Mulhouse, French Women’s Championship winners for 2016/2017, revealed their first choice to replace Daly Santana was the main star of Peruvian volleyball.

A few days ago, Mulhouse engaged Peruvian receiver Carla Rueda from Deportivo Géminis to replace club’s highlight last season, Puerto Rican Daly Santana who moved to Italy.

But, the French champions revealed their first choice was another Peruvian – Ángela Leyva – by far the biggest volleyball star in this country. The reason why Mulhouse was unable to tie Leyva was a better offer she received from Italian top division side Savino Del Bene Scandicci.

Both Serie A1 club and Leyva did not announce in regard to this. Although, the player herself emphasized she will go abroad next season.
