Filipino middle blocker Maddy Madayag will compete in Japan’s SV.League next season, transferring from the Choco Mucho Flying Titans to the Kurobe Aqua Fairies. Announced by both teams, Madayag will join Iris Scholten and Lena Stigrot as one of three international players on the Kurobe roster. She will also be the third Filipina in the league, alongside Jia De Guzman of the Denso Airybees and Sachi Minowa of the Osaka Marvelous. Madayag, a standout since 2019 and recently named Best Middle Blocker in the PVL All-Filipino Conference, is set for an exciting new chapter.
