The United States ended a six-year wait for the Women’s Pan American Cup title, beating the Dominican Republic in straight sets to secure a record eighth championship, while Mexico defeated Puerto Rico to claim its first medal in the tournament.
The U.S. completed a 6-1 campaign with a 28-26, 25-19, 25-18 victory in the gold-medal match, returning to the top of the podium for the first time since 2019. Callie Schwarzenbach led the champions with 15 points, while Jess Mruzik and Temi Thomas-Ailara each finished with 12 kills. Caitie Baird contributed 10 kills.
Mexico capped the tournament with a milestone of its own, recovering from an opening-set loss to beat Puerto Rico in four sets for bronze. Castro led all scorers with 22 points, Uxue Guereca added 17 for Mexico, and Dariana Hollingsworth led Puerto Rico with 17.
