The second seed Skywalkers beat the No.1, and also the reigning champions, Jumbos by a 3-1 (25-20, 30-32, 25-19, 25-20) in Game 3 of the Dodram 2018-2019 V League playoff finals, closing the series with a sweep in front of own fans in Cheonan. Thus, the Skywalkers finished playoffs without losing a single game as they won the semifinals against Seoul Woori Card Wibee by a 2-0. This is the fourth championship title in the history of the club following the 2005/06, 2006/07 and 2016/17 seasons.

Despite the knee injury, Jeon Kwang-In played the series, including Game 3, on a high level (20 points) and was voted MVP with 26 out of 29 votes of the media. This is the first-ever MVP award for a 27-year-old outside hitter. Two more Skywalkers starters played a decisive game, and the previous one, with injuries: Hungarian opposite Krisztián Pádár (back injury, 23 points) and setter Lee Seung-Won (right foot injury), which makes the success of the Cheonan team even more significant.
