Volleyball records biggest leap in male participation in U.S. school sports in last decade

Volleyball has recorded a huge leap in the percentage of men who started to play this sport in one of the largest and most populated countries in the world – the United States – in the last decade.

The 4th largest and also the 3rd most populated country in the world, the United States, has recorded huge growth in the percentage of young men who turned to play volleyball in the last 10 years.

According to the NCAA Research, volleyball has risen to a place number one in the USA looking at the 10-year percentage change in participation both in high school and NCAA (college) men’s sports. In the last decade, male volleyball players have increased participation by as many as 79% in NCAA sports and by 29% in high school sports. Only lacrosse can measure up with volleyball, having an increase of 58% in NCAA and 28% in high schools.
