The results of yesterday’s Round 3 of the regular season determined which eight teams booked tickets for the next stage of the 2019/20 Super League, the quarterfinals, that consists of two pools of four. Out of those teams, four moved on there with perfect records. However, not all kept it.
Jiangsu were stunned by Henan – 3-2 (23-25, 25-18, 28-26, 14-25, 16-14) in the opening round of the quarterfinals (Round 4). Cui Jianjun top-scored for the winning side with 25 points, while Li Yuanbo added 5 kill blocks. The reigning champions Shanghai, as well as Zhejiang and Shandong, remained perfect.
