CHN W: Beijing chose Bjelica and Dixon as imports for 2020/21

Beijing, the bronze medalists of the Chinese Women’s Volleyball Championship, filled the quota of foreigners for the 2020/21 season with one new and one old name.

The Serbia National Team member Ana Bjelica is the new player in Beijing, media in her home country reported. A 28-year-old opposite hitter, a winner of the 2018 FIVB World Championship, two CEV Eurovolleys (2017 and 2019), and 2015 CEV European League, will compete in the Chinese Super League after a season in Brazil with Osasco/Audax/São Cristóvão Saúde.

American middle blocker Tori Dixon confirmed on social networks that she’ll be wearing the jersey of Beijing for the third consecutive year. The 2014 FIVB World Championship and a two-time FIVB Nations League winner (2018 and 2019) has stood out in the first of these three seasons with the club from the Chinese capital as she was named MVP in the Beijing title campaign.
