With this result Bulgaria will anyway finish the prelims in first place and in the next couple of days Romania and Turkey will be fighting for the second spot available to make it to the final four scheduled for July 13-14 in Varna.
“I am really satisfied with what we did this afternoon” said Bulgaria’s head coach Marcello Abbondanza. “Our goal is nevertheless to improve on what we did today and move up to the top of the European ranking”.
“I am not surprised by the result of this game because today Bulgaria played three times better than we did” stressed Romania’s mentor Marian Constantin. “Our goal remains to win the two next matches and qualify for the final four”.
