“I feel terrible because we lost but it’s a sport,” Aleksiev, who tallied 16 points, said. “We have to change our mentality because this is the sixth semifinals we lost. We kept fighting after the 2-0 down so I’m happy about that and we are going to battle for a medal tomorrow.”
Meanwhile, Brazil captain Bruno said his side played smart volleyball:
“I think they started a little bit nervous and we started very well, didn’t make many mistakes and played with intelligence which was the key against a team like Bulgaria.”
Brazilian setter emphasized:
“Against Russia it will be a different match, they have a very good and strong team, have strong servers and we need to be patient in our receiving. They make aces sometimes and we will try to make less mistakes in attack than the previous match against them. I think we can make a great match but we know it will be difficult.”
