After 10 game days of the women’s volleyball tournament at the 2021 National Games of China, the multi-sport event for the elite athletes in the country which is held every four years (colloquially, Chinese Olympics), the reigning Super League champions Tianjin were crowned winners. In the final in Xi’an, which was a replay of the last playoff finals, they defeated Jiangsu 3-1 (25-19, 18-25, 25-18, 25-17) and won the fourth title in the tournament history.

Tianjin achieved such a result even without its captain and main star of the team Zhu Ting, who didn’t play much throughout the Games, generally speaking, and Cuban Melissa Vargas, who has just committed herself to the club located on the shore of the Bohai Sea.
