Daniele Santarelli, the head coach of the Serbia Women’s Volleyball National Team, announced his first list of players since taking over the post in January.
Santarelli announced a wide list of players (30 players) of the reigning world champion Serbia for the 4th edition of the FIVB Volleyball Nations League, which will be played from May 31 to July 17. The list composed by the Italian expert, to the surprise of many, doesn’t include 2 world-class players: Tijana Bošković and Maja Ognjenović. There’s no information from the Serbian federation (OSSRB) about the reasons for their absence. The fact that an outside hitter Jelena Blagojević was appointed to Santarelli’s staff came as a surprise too.
