Iranian setter will soon arrive to Russia and start negotiations with Zenit. If he agrees all terms with club from Kazan that will mean that Urmia will lose the biggest volleyball star.
“People in Urmia have always been interested in volleyball and I think that this sport has developed a lot in the previous years. Therefore, Saeid Marouf is very popular among our people, as he is also the captain of the Iranian National Team. They would love that he stays in the club, but we have to look also from the other angle. If he actually signs for Zenit it will be one of the biggest transfers of our city. It would be like some of our football players signed for Bayern Munich” said the mayor of Urmia.
