Volero (first time won the medal after previously participating in 2013 and 2014) was led by amazing Olesia Rykhliuk who scored 17 points, but also broke one record.
The Ukrainian became the best scorer in the history of this competition with 93 points. Former record was held by Ekaterina Gamova from Dinamo Kazan (85 points).
After losing the semifinal against Dinamo Krasnodar, it seemed that Rexona players were demotivated against the hosts, but one of its members was spotlighed as well.
The legendary setter Fofão officially retired at the age of 45. In the finals of the Brazilian Super League she ended with playing in home country. Now, she retired on international level, too.
In Rexona, Gabi scored 13 points.
