Thunders suffered a pretty heavy defeat on road against Toray Arrows 3-1 (25-22, 22-25, 25-20, 25-20). It may be a surprise on paper, but in reality it wasn’t, since Thunders have been entering this round of Japanese V-League only as sixth!

The Macedonian bomber Nikola Gjorgiev led Toray to win with 28 points. Brazilian Leandro Vissotto was on a high level scoring 30 points.

Leaders after regular phase, Toyoda Gosei Trefuerza, started new stage of the Japanese top division with a confident straight-set victory over visiting team of JTEKT Stings, partially 25-21, 25-18, 26-24.

The Croatian Igor Omrčen was outstanding again, just like in many occasions so far. He topped Trefuerza’s scorers with 28 points outscoring Stings’ foreign star Matey Kaziyski. Bulgarian had only 13, but was the most efficient individual in his team.

Panasonic Panthers completed one-hundred percent effectiveness of the hosts in the opening round of Top 6. They downed Sakai Blazers 3-0 with 18 points from Brazilian Dante Amaral. Bosnian Milan Pepić collected 17 in losing team.
