We wanted to play better than we did in the last match played in Greece where we lost to the hosts in straight sets” says Finland’s head coach Daniel Castellani. “The group played well and I want to single out Matti Hietanen who did attack and block extremely well”. Hietanen top scored for Finland with 18 points well supported by Mikko Oivanen with 17. Romania’s head coach Mariusz Sordyl was not happy with the result but admitted that Finland is much stronger at the moment. “Last week we played poorly, tonight we played better but the result remains the same”.
