BRAZIL

In 2018/2019 season Osasco Volei will have in their club’s name Audax. They presented their project for the next season and in the same time confirmed Mari Paraiba, libero Camila Brait and setter Carolina de Albuquerque as their members.

The trio defended the team of Osasco last season and has great identification with the local cheerleaders.

We worked hard in this period to keep the project and then train our group of athletes. We are in the final stages of renewals and new hires. Soon we will have much good news and we will work to fight for the consecutive São Paulo championship, to be among the four finalists of the Superliga and, then, to fight for the title” said coach Luizomar de Moura.

ITALIA

Kimberly Hill renewed the contract with Imoco Volley Conegliano for one more season. Italian champions announced with the great satisfaction that American attacker will wear the jersey of Panthers also in the 2018/2019 season. In her first season in Imoco she won the Italian Scudetto and the bronze at the CEV Champions League (check her stats):

I am extremely happy to stay in this club. My first year at the Imoco Volley exceeded my expectations, everything was perfect and I fell in love with an environment, truly unique. With the company I find myself very well, it was a pleasure to work with the technical staff and I enjoyed a lot with my companions with whom we have created a large group. And then … playing with the best fans in the world who support you is really something special! I think that next year may still be a great season, the company is working very well to allow us to still have a very strong, complete and competitive team to be able to assault again the Championship and the Champions League. “

Experienced setter Valeria Caracuta became a new member of Savino Del Bene Scandicci. Last season she played for SAB Volley Legnano while in Serie A1 she was a member of Modena and Busto Arsizio. The 31-year-old setter had a great season 2017/2018 (check her stats).

What I would like is to make my experience and my playing characteristics available to the team, have fun together by creating a nice group and trying to achieve important goals. What I think is that there are all the conditions to do well“.

Saugella Team Monza saved setter for the next season. Martina Balboni will play her fifth season for Monza but the third consecutive. Last season she played in 16 matches (31 sets) and in the next season, she will for the first time play in the Challenge Cup.

I am very happy to be a player of the Saugella Monza for another season. It will be for me the fifth adventure with the Monza shirt, the third consecutive in the Women’s A1 Series, embellished with the experience that we are preparing to live in Europ. There is a season full of challenges. I can not wait“.

Francesca Ferretti

Ferretti

Francesca Ferretti retired from volleyball. The 34-year-old setter announced this news on the Facebook page with a message that after 20 years of career it’s time for her to stop.

I had the honor of being able to play in big clubs with great champions, great coaches and beautiful cities.
I was also lucky enough to wear the national team shirt, perhaps not always lived serenely, but it was an honor.
My dream was to finish my career “home” is how it was because for me Modena is home, the city where I played my first year as a holder in the A1 series…Thanks to all of you who have always followed and supported me, my family, all the coaches and companions who have crossed my career”  this is some part of the message that Francesca wrote.
