There is a huge interest around this game also by the Polish media and not only by the fans who evidently hope to see SOPOT perform well tonight. Middle blocker Zuzanna Efimienko feels like the key to success would be to find a way to stop the Serbian opposite of VakifBank, Jovana Brakočević. “We also need to improve our serve. If we do so, we are able to set up a good and effective block so as to neutralize Brakočević. If we are able to control her, we may have some chances to win the game” Efimienko says.

In order to stand a chance everything has to come together in the best way has said SOPOT head coach Teun Buijs.

We have been preparing for this game for a very long time. Our coach has reminded us of this game during every training session which was meant to prepare as good as possible for the match with VakifBank. Tonight we will try to do our best and to follow the instructions of our coach” says SOPOT young setter Natalia Gajewska. “We will try to play our best Volleyball on that special night.”

VakifBank has traveled to Poland without players Gizem Örge, Sila Caliskan and Melis Gürkaynak. SOPOT on the other hand hasn’t nominated young libero Magdalena Kuziak for this game as Mariola Zenik is currently in her best form.

“There is no special recipe to win. We simply have to play good in reception and fast Volleyball. We also need to work on the right coordination between block and defense in order to stop VakifBank” Zenik concludes.
