The nine-time Polish men’s volleyball club champions, PGE Skra Bełchatów, did not officially introduce Dick Kooy but it is obvious that he will be their member in the upcoming season.
Former Dutch National Team member and now a periodic member of the Italy National Team, Kooy, will be on the roster of Skra for the 2021/22 season. Even though there is no official press release of the Bełchatów club, it is more than clear that a 33-year-old outside hitter will be wearing its jersey. The website of the Polish Championship, PlusLiga, announced official squads of all of its participants with Kooy in Skra. He has been practicing with the team for more than a month and is playing friendly matches as we speak.
Interestingly, the American Taylor Sander (instead of whom Kooy arrived), who did not have any contact with Skra whatsoever in the last couple of months and did not appear at the preparation for the new season, is also listed on the roster.
