The leaders of the 2022-23 Polish Men’s Volleyball Championship, Asseco Resovia Rzeszów, acquired an Olympic winner from the 2016 Rio Games.
Maurício Borges will defend the colors of Resovia until the end of the 2022–23 season. The leaders of PlusLiga closed the transfer of a Rio Olympic Games winner with the Brazil National Team from another Polish club, Cerrad Enea Czarni Radom.
The 33-year-old outside hitter has many national and club achievements to his name. Maurício Borges’ greatest successes include, as we already said, the gold medal won at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in 2016 and at a 2021 FIVB Volleyball Nations League.
Resovia decided to bring in the MVP of the 2017 South American Championship and 2020-21 Brazilian Superliga after Thibault Rossard sustained health problems.
